Rachael McGinnis Parnell 

 

Profile:      

Rachael McGinnis Parnell graduated from The University of Hartford: The Hartt School in 2014 with a BFA in Ballet Pedagogy. Rachael studied under the direction of Stephen Pier, Hartt Faculty, and other honorable professionals including Nina Watt, Samantha Dunster, Gregory Dolbashian, Take Ueyama, and others. 

Rachael has been teaching various forms of dance including ballet, pointe, contemporary, and improvosation in the south sound area for the past four years. Along with teaching she has been commissioned to choreograph numerous pieces for festivals around western Washington.

Instructor/ Choreographer, Johansen Olympia Dance Center, Olympia, WA 2014-present day

Dance Instructor/Choreographer,  Centralia Ballet Academy, Centralia, WA 2015-2016

         Choreographer for Ballet Northwest, Olympia, WA 2014- present day

 

    Choreographic works include: 

     “Orphic” 2015

    “Boarders” 2016

    “If I think” 2016

    "God Bless America" 2016

    “Weltschmerz” 2017

 

 Works were performed at festivals including, Seattle’s Dancepalooza, Western Washington University, Centralia Dance Festival, and The Olympia Dance festival.
